The pub is famous for the Battle of BAMBER BRIDGE which took place on the evening of 24 June 1943, when a quiet drink in the pub turned into a confrontation between American soldiers stationed in the village during World War II.
Today, the pub serves homemade food and traditional ales in a warm Lancashire atmosphere.
